A special presentation on human trafficking by Angela Reed, RSM,
Mercy Global Action at the United Nations, NYC
Every year, thousands of women fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Angela Reed, RSM, PhD, expert of global trafficking, visits Cranaleith to share her expansive knowledge and
Mercy perspective on this heinous crime.
Her focus will be giving voice to trafficked women globally by re-telling their stories and allowing us to connect to their pain and resilience. She will reflect upon how women can claim their human and ecological rights to address the global injustices of our day.
Angela Reed is an Australian Sister of Mercy. She currently works with Mercy Global Action at the United Nations in New York. She managed “Mercy Care,” a women’s safe house in Melbourne for 7 years and brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work on trafficking.
