AEHT welcomes your long-term support to continue our mission to end human trafficking and support survivors. With your enduring support through a gift in your will, trust, or by beneficiary designation, we can advance our vision of a world without trafficking, where dignity and human rights are respected, and survivors have all they need to thrive.

What is the impact of my gift?

When you choose to make a legacy donation AEHT, you are ensuring more people have access to important information to identify and prevent human trafficking; more survivors receive the support and services needed to thrive; and stronger laws are in place to prevent human trafficking, hold those responsible accountable, and protect survivors. You also solidify your own legacy with a public listing as a perpetual member of AEHT, showing your continuing support for the work to end human trafficking.

A Specific Gift
by Will or Trust

A gift by will or trust is the designation of cash or other liquid assets; personal or real property, or the proceeds from the sale of the same, to AEHT.

A Residuary Gift
by Will or Trust

A residuary gift by will or trust leaves a gift to AEHT through a percentage of the “rest, residue and remainder” of your estate after other bequests, debts and taxes have been paid.

A Contingent Gift
by Will or Trust

A contingent gift leaves AEHT with a stated share of your estate, only if a spouse, partner, family member or other beneficiary does not survive you.

A Gift by Designation
as Beneficiary

A gift by designation as beneficiary names AEHT as the beneficiary of all or part of the value of specific assets including retirement accounts, life insurance, brokerage accounts, etc.

As some congregations and other non-profits begin the process of reaching fulfillment, questions arise about how to best share their remaining resources and what will be the legacy they leave behind. A gift to AEHT to support our collective vision of a world where dignity and human rights are respected is a way to solidify an enduring legacy of working to end human trafficking and support survivors.

A Gift Through Direct Donation

A gift by will or trust is the designation of cash or other liquid assets; personal or real property, or the proceeds from the sale of the same, to AEHT.

Earnings sale of property

A residuary gift by will or trust leaves a gift to AEHT through a percentage of the “rest, residue and remainder” of your estate after other bequests, debts and taxes have been paid.

Charitable trust distributions

A contingent gift leaves AEHT with a stated share of your estate, only if a spouse, partner, family member or other beneficiary does not survive you.

What does your congregation or organization receive for making a legacy gift?

With a gift of $25,000 or more, your congregation will become a perpetual member. Your legacy as an anti-trafficking champion will remain public in perpetuity though your listing as a legacy member on our website. In addition to supporting the sustainability of AEHT, all members of your congregation or organization, for as long as it remains in operation, will continue to have access to the full range of regular member benefits.

After the sale of a piece of property owned by the Sisters of the Holy Family, they chose to make a $50,000 legacy donation to the Alliance to End Human Trafficking to support our collective vision of a world without trafficking and solidify their legacy as life-long members of the organization. The Sisters of the Holy Family are a congregation that have embraced reaching fulfillment and are no longer accepting new vocations. Currently, there are 45 sisters who remain, with most of them in retirement. However, the mission and charism of the congregation remain strong with sisters offering support through prayer and through their financial resources.
Sr. Caritas Foster, the current Congregational President, shared, “I would like to thank [The Alliance to End Human Trafficking] for the great work they are doing.

We are no longer able to do it ourselves, so partnering with you all allows us to remain connected to this important issue. I want to thank all the members who are doing the little actions and the bigger actions. I have seen the organization grow since its founding and it’s beyond my imagination what it has become.”
Alliance to End Human Trafficking extends our heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters of the Holy Family for trusting us with this piece of their legacy. We believe that ending human trafficking is everyone’s work, and so we all have an important role to play. These funds will allow us to grow and continue our mission to realize a world without trafficking.
